The Opportunity
These are exciting roles for individuals with market research or similar research experience. Research Analysts will play key roles in our research programs, serving existing member-based, peer research consortiums that bring together senior decision-makers at public and private universities across the country.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the Analyst roles include, but are not limited to:
+Building and maintaining relationships with clients
+Managing and conducting qualitative and quantitative primary and secondary research to support the custom research needs of individual member institutions
+Common research tasks include:
=Secondary scans of higher education market characteristics
=Primary research to assess demand for education products
=Benchmarking and best-practices research
=Data analysis and reporting (utilizing SPSS and Excel)
=Writing summaries and analysis of research findings and education market trends
+Leading the research, development, and writing of reports/small-scale consulting projects addressing the market research, benchmarking, or other information needs of individual members
+Delivering on-time, high-quality research that exceeds client expectations
+Assisting in the development of major research studies
Requirements
+Articulate, mature, self-starters with experience in market research, consulting, and/or the postsecondary sector of the education market – including survey design
+Strong analytical skills with qualitative and quantitative research experience
+Strong written and verbal business communication skills and client service ethic
+Exceptional writing skills; proven ability to transform key data into clear business commentary and action points
+Expertise in managing relationships with colleagues, clients, and vendors
+Business-oriented, entrepreneurial mind-sets
+Superior attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
+Bachelor's degree required; master’s degree highly preferred
+Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
+Experience with SPSS, STATA, or similar statistics package
+Experience using research tools such as Lexis-Nexis
This is full-time, salaried position, based in our Boston office.
