Candidate Requirements
Eligibility Requirements:- Certified candidates must possess a valid teaching certificate for the state of New Jersey or any other state. Emergency, expired, or temporary licenses are not valid. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university conferred by June 2010 with a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA 3.0. You cannot be currently working as a full-time teacher for Newark Public Schools, and if you are in the process of becoming fully certified, you must receive your certificate by August 1, 2010. - U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
